Why can't it be 2003 already?: The San Marino and Spanish GPs
Welcome back. It seems that we are a perfectly mid team. Which is good, because last time we ... were ... baaaaad. However, we have 3 points. 3 more than the real life Tyrell of the time. That means we are 3/0, through calculus magic, INFINITE times better than real life! We rate that.
Let's deploy performance chart and keep rolling.
From other games, I wouldn't believe Imola to cause a lot of brake wear, but there you go. Other than the old tarmac that we'll be racing at, there aren't a lot of notable aspects in this track.
I forgot to show it last time, here is the Competitor List again, now showing Jorg Muller was the Number 21 Boss Arrows Hart driver. That will be until Panis recovers.
Top 10 starting positions for the BOIS!
If you payed attention, you might have seen that The Michael started P3. Look at that fool all the way up there! Also, all aboard the Tyrell train. Prost and Arrows are stuck in this track. They are enjoying it, I'm sure.
Stop me if you heard this one before: A McLaren was dominating the race, well clear of every other contender. Then the engine blew up, losing a certain win. No, this isn't 2005 Kimi's story, this is 1999's Double H Frentzen's story. He picked the 1 stop strategy. He dominated the race. His Mercedes engine blew up. The Michael won it.
It was actually a necessary blow up, as that allowed us to move to P6, into the POINTS(!!) once again.
Lol Minardi.
In my infinite wisdom, I forgot to take the screenshot of the points standings. Sorry. I'll show them after Spain.
We continue to the AAR:
Yes, Ford will work with Ferrari now! It stopped being Ford v Ferrari.
Oh, good. Let's see those regs in a bit.
Once again, we could use this year's chassis for next year. I don't want to, though. Low performance chassis will improve. Now, I'm sure we are a "Mid" chassis, so that isn't as good.
OK, let's see what's going down in the departments.
In the Design department, we started work on the new chassis. Those 3 dots of progress are due to the "Low" chassis boost (So we are "Low" then?) but they will disappear. Why? I don't know. I don't know how to use those boosts. Anyway.
In the commercial department, at least the Mugen-Honda deal is moving. I got a SUCCESS Advantage, which I deployed on this deal. Expect the Mugen-Honda extension to be signed after Spain.
In other news, we started talking with Goodyear to sign an extension with them. Probably a Customer deal again. Remember, we don't have time or personnel to talk Partnership deals with them.
In the Mechanics department, we have managed to patch up the 3rd car, which means we can properly test now. I'm still considering to build a 4th car that speeds testing EVEN MORE, but that's expensive. As for the cars, Spain doesn't put a ton of wear on the cars, which means I can slack a bit in the Wear repair aspect.
We also did testing after plenty races of not doing so. We NEED to spam Research to be able to get the car to 100% efficiency AND to be able to build that car upgrade we are developing.
Yep, Spain do be a hot track. And of difficult overtaking. That I can believe. Can't push the engine or tires too much.
I can guess Double H is pissed off after last race's DNF. As for us, Top 10 start!
Takagi's race got compromised thanks to a ton of people pitting with him and, due to a bug, him getting stuck for years there. As for Diniz, he's in the 2 points position if we were using the 1st through 8th scoring system.
HAHAHA, Minardi! They took each other out!
P6 in the WDC. That's pretty F'ing good. At the front, the fighting do be intense up there.
Fight also intense in the WCC.
"Galoises McLaren Mercedes" still feels ... so weird ... Not as weird as "Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro Ford", but whatever.
Muller is the real deal, y'all.
... I'm calling an audible, sorry Gene you won't be a Ferrari driver. You'll drive somewhere else.
More Moneys!
Oh, g'damn, Commercial Department!
So, we need to finish this current upgrade ASAP. As you can see, I jumped from the Model Design stage to the Wind Tunnel. However, that would take a bit to complete, as in a full race weekend. No time for that. Instead ...
... we will use the power of Research ...
... to add 2 points of Wind Tunnel progress and be able to complete the design.
With this, we can complete the design. This will boost our car's handling rating by 4%. In an ideal world, a fully completed design would boost the rating by 7%. But that's a completed design, this is a design that wasn't fully tested.
Of course, we now need to build those upgrades. No big deal. Next chapter we'll check how good of an upgrade that was.
Big repairs because Monaco wears the cars quite a bit.
That's one less deal to worry about, now that the Mugen-Honda deal is secured.
Next on the list is the Goodyear deal. Customer is good enough. We don't need to worry about a Fuel deal, as the one we signed was a 2 year affair.
Unless stuff hits the fan, I will not sell shares, but I'm keeping track of the Prices. That's much better than last year ... any point, last year.
As you can see, suppliers have developed upgraded engines. Mugen-Honda has not sent use their upgraded version yet. The changes are:
- Merc maxed out Response and added 2 points of Rigidity (Reliability when?)
- Peugeot +2 Reliability
- Mugen-Honda +1 Heat (Power when????)
- Ford +1 Heat, Power and Weight
Same on the tire department, though this could be the works team doing work. So ...
- Bridgestone Wets +1 Grip and Resilience, +2 Stiffness
- Nothing from Goodyear. Come on now!
Next chapter, we go back to 'MURICA, but to the north for the Canadian GP at Montreal which I did remember this time. And of course, the Monte Carlo streets.
